Role overview:

Experienced WordPress Developer with a strong background in building modern, scalable, and accessible websites, especially for clients in the financial and public sectors. Skilled in CMS architecture, development of custom Gutenberg blocks using ACF and React, API integrations, performance optimization, and ensuring WCAG compliance. Has successfully delivered and maintained complex multisite installations and high-traffic platforms, with a focus on editorial experience, stability, and technical excellence.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in PHP and basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• WordPress Codex, Coding Standards
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Ability to integrate popular WordPress plugins such as ACF, WPML, and Yoast SEO
• Understanding of WordPress file structure, database architecture, and general functionality
• Familiarity with WP_Query, wpdb, and WordPress loop logic
• Knowledge of WordPress coding standards
• Experience working with the Gutenberg block editor
• Experience using version control systems, especially GIT
• Integration with major plugins such as ACF, WPML, Yoast, WP Rocket
• Familiarity with managing WordPress Multisite environments

Nice to have:

• Experience with Webpack
• Composer
• Knowledge of Bootstrap and Tailwind CSS
• Experience using WP-CLI
• Understanding of WordPress performance optimization

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes tailored to client needs, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Build user-friendly editorial experiences using Gutenberg and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
• Collaborate with designers, project managers to deliver complete solutions
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG), SEO, and responsiveness best practices are followed
• Contribute to the development of simple custom plugins or extend existing ones when needed
• Maintain code quality and follow WordPress coding standards using Git-based workflows
• Work with WordPress Multisite environments, managing shared themes and configurations across multiple sites
