Role Overview

We're looking for a Product Owner who excels in both product discovery and execution. In this role, you'll drive product development for client projects, internal open-source initiatives, and public grant projects serving as the bridge between business needs and technical implementation.

You'll lead discovery workshops to shape product vision, manage product backlogs, and work closely with clients and development teams to ensure we're delivering solutions that create real value. Your impact will span from initial concept exploration to successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structured workshops with stakeholders to uncover needs, define problems, and conceptualize solutions
• Transform abstract ideas into concrete product visions with clear success metrics and roadmaps
• Create, prioritize, and maintain product backlogs, ensuring development teams always work on highest-value items
• Collaborate with clients, developers, and internal teams to align expectations and communicate progress
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements that enable efficient development
• Identify key assumptions and implement validation approaches to ensure product-market fit
• Help identify, define, and develop internal open-source products that address market needs
• Work with development teams to assess feasibility, complexity, and implementation options
• Work on products funded through public grants – from concept to delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as PO, PM, or BA with product ownership responsibilities
• Strong track record of leading effective discovery processes that result in valuable products
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes beneath surface-level requirements
• Experience creating, prioritizing, and managing product backlogs in an agile environment
• Ability to understand business context and translate it into actionable product strategy
• Skilled at running productive discovery and prioritization sessions with diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to own the product development process end-to-end with minimal supervision
• Adaptability and quick learning ability to understand different industries and business contexts
• Proficiency in English (C1 level)
• Experience with AI/ML or healthcare projects is a big plus.
• Familiarity with grant-funded projects or public innovation programs is highly valued.
• Familiarity with open-source product development and communities will be a big advantage as well
